Connect, Listen, Be-with
What allows us to feel less alone and feel connected to the human race? Living in a world that is increasingly busy, we can feel disconnected and alone. Knowing that someone cares enough to notice and enquire about how you are, and actually mean it, is incredibly important.
Connecting and communicating is not just about saying “hello, how are you” and walking away. It’s about giving a little more time and attention to a conversation that can open into being-with what the other person is experiencing.
This is a workshop where you will be invited to build skills in a very human process, based on experiential listening and focusing, to allow you to understand, experience and enhance the ways you connect to people and feel connected.
Together, we will also explore the challenges people face in sharing how they really feel. Connecting with someone requires more than just listening. Communication is a two-way process, involving an openess to sharing something of who we are and how we are, with another person who is equally open to connecting, listening and being-with us.
